Yet, encroachment from oil and gas companies threatens to exploit the valuable natural resources found there and the Indigenous stewards of these pristine lands. Time is running out to save Yasuní.

On assignment, photojournalist Neil Ever Osborne seeks to make one particular image to help tell this story. In The Shot That Got Away, this collaborative short biopic illustrates his trials and tribulation.
